Peace group to AFP: Declare holiday truce

A Mindanao-based peace group Sowing the Seeds of Peace (SSP) appealed to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to reciprocate the holiday truce declared earlier by the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) as the nation celebrates “most cherished Filipino tradition.”

‘Talaingod 18’ still trying to raise P1.440m bail for their liberty – lawyer

After the Philippine National Police (PNP) filed cases of kidnapping and human trafficking for illegally holding minors in Davao del Norte, former Bayan Muna Rep. Satur Ocampo, ACT Teachers Party-list Rep. France Castro, and 16 others were still trying to raise P1,440,000 for their temporary liberty, the group’s lawyer said on Saturday.
