1st Philippine Airlines photo contest finalists

Philippine Airlines proudly announces the finalists of the 1st Philippine Airlines Photo Contest. Last week, five judges selected the finalists and winners out of some 2,800 entries submitted by professional , amateur and junior photographers nationwide. The 1st Philippine Airlines Photo Contest is the first and most prestigious competition of its kind this year, with winners from the Professional, Enthusiast and Junior divisions receiving over a million pesos in total prizes.

Three NPA captives in Montevista held as POWs

The Alejandro Lanaja Command-Front 3 Operations Command of the New People's Army is holding under its custody Army detachment commander Sgt. Raul Reyes, along with paramilitary Civilian Action Auxiliary members Glorieto Mahumas, and Rudy Villaflor. The three were arrested during the October 7 NPA tactical offensive that successfully raided the 72nd Infantry Battalion-AFP detachment in Canidkid, Montevista in Compostela Valley Province.

MSTCFI to hold scientific forum and general assembly

The Mindanao Science and Technology Centrum Foundation, Inc. (MSTCFI), a non-stock, non-profit science foundation accredited by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), will hold a scientific forum with the theme, ?The Exciting Possibilities of Robotics? on October 19, 2007, Friday, at the conference hall of the University of the Philippines in Mindanao downtown campus, Terraza Melisa Bldg., Anda St., Davao City. Patriotic officers warn vs military acting like mercenaries for Stanfilco

Southeastern Mindanao section, a clandestine organization of progressive bloc within the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), is denouncing the statements of Major Medel Aguilar of the 10th Infantry Division blaming the protesting workers of Davao Integrated Transport Facilities, Inc.
