Vice President Maria Leonor Robredo is expected to attend the two-day social and economic development summit, which will start Wednesday, August 17 at the SMX Lanang Convention Center here.
The Philippine Eagle Foundation has appealed anew for the protection of the forests and the ancestral domains of indigenous peoples in Mt. Apo saying this is vital to preserving the Philippine Eagle, a critically endangered species endemic to the Philippines.
The summit will discuss updates and status of the social development plans of various agencies. There will also be workshops and consultations for the participants.
