Vice presidential candidate Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero has called on the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to conduct a survey in El Niño-hit areas to determine if there is a need to update the current list of beneficiaries of the government’s conditional cash transfer (CCT) program.

Ombudsman orders 90 Mindanao officials to explain illegal dump sites

The Office of the Environmental Ombudsman has ordered local officials from seven Mindanao local government units to explain on the complaint filed against them for violating the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act.
