The electoral campaign in Davao del Norte was hot as minutes before the deadline for the filing of candidacy last Friday, incumbent Vice Governor Victorio Suaybaguio, who earlier already filed a certificate of candidacy (COC) as First District Representative, withdrew his COC and filed instead as Governor to challenge First District Rep. Anthony G. Del Rosario.

#Duterteserye: Sara Duterte did not file COC as mayor

Members of the Davao press and supporters hold on to the edge of their seats inside the Commission on Elections office here until early evening waiting for former Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte to appear and file her certificate of candidacy for mayor. Only three mayoral candidates filed their COCs when the deadline of filing strike on Friday.
