Rights advocates score Duterte ‘martial law-like measures’ during ECQ

President Rodrigo Duterte has threatened to implement “martial law-like” measures, allegedly to curb violations of the enhanced community quarantine. Human rights advocates, however, said that militarist actions are uncalled for, and could potentially lead to human rights abuses.

Sen. Zubiri donates 6K rapid test kits to Mindanao hospitals

After he tested negative from the coronavirus-2019 (Covid-19) infection, Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri has donated more than 6,000 pieces of antibody diagnostic kits that will help medical experts in the detection of the virus to hospitals in Mindanao.

Sweeper flight flies out hundreds of foreigners stranded in Mindanao

Hundreds of foreign nationals and their families who have been stranded in Mindanao have been flown out of the region aboard a sweeper flight bound for Manila Saturday afternoon (April 18), the Department of Tourism-10 (DOT-10) said.
