Last batch of Korean trash reshipped to country of origin

With the reshipment of the remaining 5,177 metric tons of mostly plastic trash to South Korea on Sunday (Jan. 19), pro-environment groups have reiterated their call to foreign countries to recycle their own wastes and not dump these to the Philippines.

Amid legal controversy, Yanson sibling assures riding public

The top official of Asia’s biggest bus company has on Saturday (Jan. 18) assured the riding public in Mindanao and the rest of the country that the service it provides is not affected by the infighting among members of the family that owns it and by the court battle that ensued.

Ester Dalag, age 64, was on her way home from a medical check-up, worrying about her frail lungs, when she found the house she rented at Baraico Purok 2 Bankerohan Riverside was among the houses burned down Wednesday morning.
