HR group raises concern on Duterte’s latest avowals in curbing crimes, drugs

The human rights group Karapatan in Southern Mindanao raised concern on the possible increase in cases of human rights violations as President Rodrigo Duterte indicated to the men and women of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology a dubious style in dealing with those involved in crimes, particularly drugs.

AFP to probe suspected intel accused of molesting lumad student

A top military official here said they will investigate a member of the military intelligence unit of the Armed Forces of the Philippines who was accused of sexual harassment by a lumad student in a protest camp in Panacan, Davao City.
