De Leon ang ilang balay. Dayon gipangti-onan sila ug pugos nga pagawason si Paulino, kung dili kini mogawas ug mukuyog kanila istrapingon ang ilang panimalay. Dili lalim ang gibati nga kahadlok sa pamilya ni Dodoy Taray ilabina na sa iyang mga gagmay nga anak. Gidala siya sa sentro sa Sitio Mabog ug didto siya gi-imbestigar, tungod sa pag-abot sa igsoon niini nga babaye gibuhian si Dodoy Taray.

Philippines: Kontra Daya Asks Comelec to Stop AFP from Campaigning for Palparan?s Group

MANILA — The anti-fraud watchdog group Kontra Daya today called on the Commission on Elections to investigate elements of the Armed Forces of the Philippines involved in a shoot out with policemen in Bocaue, Bulacan. The shoot out was believed to be the result of an attack on mayoralty candidate Jon-Jon Villanueva Jr.

Philippines: Development of an Asean Human Rights Mechanism Underway

MANILA — Ambassador Alistair MacDonald, Head of Delegation of the European Commission to the Philippines, and Commission on Human Rights Chair Purificacion Quisumbing signed a memorandum of agreement on 4 May 2007 to launch a new EC-funded human rights project. The project, which will be implemented by the Philippine Commission on Human Rights together with its sister institutions in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand is intended to help pave the way for the development of an ASEAN Human Rights Mechanism.
