The New People's Army said its attack on the local police station in Iloilo province over the weekend was meant to punish the police for its corruption.

Army recovers 11 kilos of shabu in Marawi
Eleven kilos of shabu contained in 11 packs were recovered by the Philippine Army in one of the conflict areas in Marawi, the Joint Task Force Marawi reported.
Another Marawi inmate surrendered to authorities
An inmate from Marawi City Jail surrendered to authorities on Sunday, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology reported.
