Zamboanga Sibugay canvassers face raps for vote-padding

Partylist groups Kabataan, Suara Bangsamoro, Anakpawis, Gabriela and Bayan Muna today filed charges of "electoral sabotage" against the provincial canvassers of Zamboanga Sibugay over the alleged padding of votes in favor of pro-administration partylist groups Uni-Mad and Coop-Natco.

Group to rehabilitate Sarangani mangrove forest

SARANGANI — Because of the extensive media coverage on May 3?s mangrove planting activity in Sitio Asnalang, Maasim, Sarangani Province, several organizations signified interest in engaging in a similar project. And so on May 22, 2007, people from different faiths converged in the area to help rehabilitate its mangrove forest.

Philippines’s Arroyo makes strong pitch for interfaith dialogue

WELLINGTON, New Zealand (Via PLDT) ? President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on Monday made a strong pitch for the promotion of interfaith dialogue to bring about lasting peace, political stability and economic growth in Asia.
