The New People's Army have killed a personnel of the national police, three members of the armed forces and wounded several others during its attacks in Davao Oriental province on Friday.
The New People's Army said its attack against Army troops in Calinan, Davao City, morning of Wednesday is "justified" as "it was a fitting punishment against the brutal operations of the Oplan Bayanihan counter-revolutionary forces."
Sanchez said they will use the confiscated weapons to equip newly formed additional NPA platoons.
