Cancel bail for NDF consultants, DOJ urges court

The Department of Justice (DOJ) wants the cancellation of the temporary liberty granted by courts to detained National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) consultants and Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) leaders after the talks between them and the government did not push through.

Economic deprivation makes the Philippines a dangerous country for Filipino women – CWR

The non-governmental women's research group Center for Women’s Resources (CWR) noted poverty as key reason why the latest survey conducted by the Thomas Reuters Foundation found the Philippines to be one of the top ten most dangerous nations in the world in terms of human trafficking.
