Davao’s mayor demands apology from Mega Harbour for calling her ‘reckless, callous’

Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor, Sara Duterte demanded an apology from port developer Mega Harbour Port and Development, Inc. for calling her “reckless, callous, and unethical” over the termination of the multi-billion coastline development project.

FULL TEXT | Second National Interfaith Humanitarian Mission Report on Human Rights situation of Marawi evacuees

The two National Interfaith Humanitarian Missions, especially the recently-concluded second wave, were able to open venues for the victims’ demands. These were venues that even the poorest, and in social heirarchies normally voiceless, evacuees were able to access. This allowed the fleshing out cases of human rights violations under Martial Law beyond the common narrative of the effects of the aerial bombings.
