Zarate to refile nurses’s wage bill, hopes for Duterte’s support

Partylist representative Carlos Isagani Zarate said they will refile House Bill 5540 or the Comprehensive Nursing Law in the next Congress after President Benigno Aquino III vetoed the provision increasing the entry-level pay of nurses.

GPH-NDF formal talks to resume in July 

The formal peace talks between the government and the National Democratic Front of the Philippines will resume in the third week of July in Oslo, Norway, officials announced.

Panelo: Duterte admin to uphold ‘no ransom policy’ on kidnapping

After the beheading of the second Canadian hostage by the Abu Sayyaf Group in Sulu on Monday, incoming Presidential legal counsel Atty. Salvador Panelo said President-elect Rodrigo Duterte will deal with all lawless elements including the ASG, but will clearly uphold the “no ransom policy” of the government on kidnapping.
