MISSING HIS FAMILY

Perut Malibato, a tribal Manobo from Sitio Patel, Barangay Gupitan, Kapalong, Davao del Norte turns emotional after seeing his parents, Celia and Anayak Malibato. His parents have refused to go back home for fear of military in their community. Incidentally, Perut is a member of the paramilitary group, Alamara which his parents and the rest of the tribal evacuees have accused of doing the harassment at the instance of the Army. (Ace R. After more than an hour of commotion inside the United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP) Haran house on Thursday morning, Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte calls for a dialogue between the members of the Davao City Police Office, who came together with 2nd district North Cotabato Rep. Nancy Catamco and the Manobo tribal families who sought refuge inside the church compound.
