PILLAR FOR ENVIRONMENT. Civil society organizations call on the ASEAN senior officials to set up the fourth pillar on the environment for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in its 50th year. The CSOs met on July 21-23 at Ateneo de Davao University to come up with a manifesto to be submitted to ASEAN senior officials meeting in Manila. Among the CSOs present include Our Rivers Our Life, Philippine Movement for Climate Justice, Freedom from Debt Coalition, Center for Energy, Ecology and Development, Ateneo de Davao University, The Climate Reality Project Philippines, Interface Development Interventions, Sustainable Davao Movement, Green Thumb Coalition and representatives from Thailand and Cambodia.
