A church musician of a local parish here was arrested by police authorities after allegedly taking hostage the parish priest around 10 a.m on Wednesday, Aug. 23.

Amid fighting, it’s back to school in Marawi

The main campus of Mindanao State University (MSU) in Marawi City have re-opened Tuesday, Aug. 22, to start their classes for the first semester of this school year, amid fresh attacks in Marantao, Lanao del Sur.

CHR to probe martial law-related violations in Misamis Oriental

The Commission on Human Rights-10 (CHR-10) will investigate the complaint of two civilians who were accused as Communist rebels by state agents in the wake of the massive evacuation of residents in hinterland villages in Opol town, Misamis Oriental, due to the reported presence of hundreds of alleged New People’s Army (NPA) fighters.
