Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio’s State of the City Address Monday, November 16, called on Dabawenyos to brace through “a difficult stretch” of the COVID-19 pandemic that may last until next year, while guaranteeing continued medical and economic relief from the city.

The City Government of Davao is bringing back curfew hours at night and liquor ban as efforts to curb the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in the city by cutting down after-work activities and in anticipation of the holiday activities.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Mayor commended Lt. Col. Nestor Mondia and his team in Task Force Davao “for always being alert, for their hard work, and for their unquestionable dedication to keep Davao City and the Dabawenyos safe from terrorists like the Maute brothers.”
