Apr. 26, 2007

DAVAO CITY — Uniloading is becoming popular nowadays with almost all Filipinos having one or more cellular phones.

Nestor Dignadice, sales manager of Net Marketing Direct Corporation, said the electronic loading in the country is already about P35 billion.

But even before it hit this high our company has designed a self service electronic loading where cellphone owners could have their units loaded, he said.

The unit capable of providing load to cellular phones for a denomination of P10 P20 P30 or up to P100 is popular in schools.

He said students prefer the vendo because it could provide P10 load.

About 40 units are deployed in key areas of Mindanao where 25 of these are deployed around Davao City, 10 in Tagum City, two in General Santos City, two in Cebu City and one in Midsayap.

But he said they are still coming up with a new model this time more efficient and faster.

He said they will try to come up with a sleek model which is one-fourth the size of the first one. They will try to evaluate if they still could come up with the same rate as the first machine but if there will be changes in the price there would only be a slight difference.

For P59,000, one can operate a business with the vendo machine for electronic loading of mobile phones even as he said that so far they havent encountered deficiency in operations provided that network systems of Globe, Smart or Sun Cellular is working.

He said they also noticed that more people are into electronic loading mainly because 80 percent of those with cellular phones patronize the system.

He said cellular phone owners that go for postpaid is about two percent or those in the AB bracket while the C are mostly prepaid. (PIA XI/prixdbanzon). davaotoday.com
