Davao City – The Davao City Police Office will deploy their personnel outside the schools here in preparation for the Balik Eskwela Program on June 1.
DCPO spokesperson Police Superintendent 1 Milgrace Driz said City Director Vicente Danao directed them to “give maximum deployments to all schools especially big schools here.”
She said that all officers in the office will also be deployed in schools.
“Morning, they will be there around 7:00 am, lalabas sila ng 8:30 am then office work na naman. Balik na naman sila at around 3:30 sa hapon until 5:00 pm to assist the congestion sa traffic natin (They will be there in schools from 7:00 am to 8:30 am and then they will go back to office work. They will return at around 3:30 pm until 5:00 pm to assist in the traffic congestion),” Driz said.
Driz said the police visibility will also “negate [criminal activities] which usually happens in schools”.
Driz added that there will be a police assistance desk designated as a liaison officer to all schools. She said that they will also provide security coverage in airports, seaports, transports, malls and business sectors.
