Delinquent companies charged for tax evasion

DAVAO CITY – Two delinquent companies on Thursday were charged by the Bureau of Internal Revenue with “Willful Failure to Pay Taxes”.

Charged for violating Section 255 of the Tax Code were Ley Construction and Development Corporation (LCDC) in Pasay City and Technicolors International, Inc. (Technicolors) in Valenzuela City.

The LCDC, which is engaged in the business of general building, general engineering and foundation works, has deficiency tax liabilities amounting to P14.29 million in 2007.

Meanwhile, Technicolors, which manufactures goods such as printing inks and coatings and trades on a wholesale and retail basis, has deficiency tax liabilities of P27.37 million in 2009.

Also included in the charge were LCDC President Janet C. Ley and Technicolors President Erlinda S. Bertol.
