Farm-to-Market Roads for Remote Davao Villages to Open Soon

DAVAO CITY — A 23-million-peso farm to market roads would soon be completed in the barangays of Tawantawan and Banarao, Talandang, Tugbok, Davao City.

The residents of Barangay Tawantawan, Baguio shall enjoy the 4.7 kilometer road concreting in two phases: Phase 1-Rehabilitation of Tawantawan Road to Barangay Proper and the Rehabilitation of Tawantawan road to Maligatong area.

Runners Urged to Join EAGA Marathon in Davao City Next Month

DAVAO CITY — Professional runners and running enthusiasts are encouraged to join the first ever international marathon that will attract athletes from Brunei, Indonesia , Malaysia and the Philippines here in this city next month.

To be held in line with this year’s 13th anniversary celebration of the Brunei Darussalam Indonesia Malaysia Philippines East Asean Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA), the 1st International BIMP-EAGA Marathon will open on April 1, and will line up 3 runs: the 10-km Premier Race, the 10-Km Open Race and the 5-km race.

Lapus Hallucinating on State of Education: Youth Group

Letter to the Editor:

Education Department Secretary Jesli Lapus seems to be hallucinating
for blaming the country’s population as the one causing the shortage
of classrooms in the country.

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and her minions are beginning to
sound alike. First it was the Palace Queen who put the blame on the
citizen’s luxuries and ordered a control on using short message
sending or texts and cigarette smoking to avoid experiencing hunger.

Panabo Has Spanking New Bus Terminal

PANABO CITY—Panabo now has a new bus and jeepney terminal, an infrastructure that can do well for the city as one of the key trading posts in Mindanao.

A product of a P38-million loan from the Asian Development Bank with counterpart from Land Bank of the Philippines, the Panabo City Integrated Bus and Jeepney Terminal was formally opened this week.
