CDRRMO: Water level in Davao’s major rivers not yet subsiding

By MARILOU AGUIRRE-TUBURAN Davao Today The CDRRMO and Central 911 are continuing their monitoring and have advised preemptive evacuation in some areas.  Earlier, the Lasang River was put on warning level while the Suawan River was noted with heavy water buildup.  The Upper and Lower Sangilangan and Waan rivers were reported to have overflowed causing residents to evacuate.

NPA to release captured cop, soldier; declares ceasefire

SALIGUMBA Davao Today The NPA’s ComVal North Davao South Agusan Sub-regional Command said a four-day suspension of military offensives will take effect Tuesday, February 19 to 22 in the towns of Kapalong, San Isidro, Asuncion and New Corella in Davao del Norte and in Laak, Compostela Valley.

Davao suspends pre-school classes as Pagasa raises Storm Signal 1 with “Crising”

More irregularities in DSWD rehab for Pablo victims raised

SALIGUMBA Davao Today Romulo Serot and his son Remly, volunteers of the DSWD’s cash-for-work program after they lost their house, were surprised to learn that they received an amount lower than what the department’s liquidation report posted. What appalled them more was someone else signed the job orders for them.
