Invention event to showcase air pollution-free devices 

Local inventions that help reduce air pollution will be exhibited in an invention event slated on Nov. 15 to 17 at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Building, coinciding with the observance of the National Clean Air Month.

Prof. Kim Gargar, spokesperson of environmental group Panalipdan told the City Council and Mega Harbour Port officials Wednesday that the reclamation project will destroy the marine life ecosystems, not only in the area to be reclaimed, but also the offshore sources where earth may be extracted.

Iqbal to Congress on BBL passage: don’t fail us

Despite the non-passage of the Bangsamoro Basic Law in Congress early this year, Moro Islamic Liberation Front Peace Implementing Panel Chair Mohagher Iqbal said they still trust the lawmakers. But he appealed to Congress not to fail the Bangsamoro people and called on government officials to fast track the BBL.
