Asia’s largest: 30K scouts in Tagum City for 6th ASEAN Scout Jamboree

Dubbed as the largest conglomeration of scouts in the Asia-Pacific region, Tagum City has welcomed close to 30,000 scouts from 20 countries during Monday’s opening ceremony of the ASEAN Scout Jamboree at the Energy Park, this city.

US-based foundation distributes 1,300 free hearing aids to Dabawenyos

A US-based group returns to the city for the second phase of its mission to distribute free hearing aids to Dabawenyos from November 27 to 30 at the Davao Recreation Center.

Anti-human trafficking song, music video tilt opens for amateurs

The Department of Social Welfare and Development Region 11 office announced Thursday, October 5 the opening of the amateur songwriting and music video-making competition themed on human trafficking. Alma D. Acera, focal of DSWD’s Recovery and Reintegration Program for Trafficked Persons, said the song and video must follow the minimum length of three minutes and maximum of four minutes running time.
