For Oro boxer Carlo Paalam’s kin, silver is ‘gold’

After fighting all the way to the Tokyo Olympics finals, local boxer Carlo Paalam will go home with a silver medal after losing to Great Britain’s Galal Yafai at the Kokugikan Arena Saturday afternoon, August 7.

Films on Mount Apo and Marawi screening on Cinemalaya

The independent film festival Cinemalaya stages its 17th season with its second online festival from August 6 to September 5, and features two award-winning Mindanaoan films, a documentary on Marawi evacuees and a full-length film shot in the country's highest peak Mount Apo.

The 84th Araw ng Dabaw celebration will be held online from March 1 to 3 featuring four major activities as the city is still under general community quarantine over the coronavirus pandemic.
