Davao councilor wants to regulate ads on terminated employees

A Davao City councilor, Edgar Ibuyan, has filed a proposed ordinance that would regulate the practice by employers of putting out advertisements about the termination or separation from service of their employees. There have been complaints that these ads, which implies that the employee had committed a wrongdoing as reason for the separation, violate the rights of employees and destroy their credibility, thus reducing their chances of becoming employed in the future.

Increasing Dutch investments in Philippines tied to Joma arrest

JPEPA bad for Davao’s banana growers — Ibon

Davao Oriental SME wins at Yamang Mindanao

DAVAO CITY — A small and medium enterprise (SME) in Davao Oriental outwitted the other participants of the 2nd Yamang Mindanao as it bagged the Best Dressed Booth award for the Individual Category.

The Davao Oriental Coco Husk Social Enterprise, Inc. (DOCHSEI), producer of coco coir-based products in the Municipality of San Isidro, has been given the citation due to the simplicity and uniqueness of its booth design.
