Director of Lumad film bags awards

Davaoeño director Arnel Barbarona went home victorious after being named Best Director in two award giving bodies: the 41st Gawad Urian Awards and the 66th Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences or FAMAS for the film “Tu Pug Imatuy.”

Two films were shown Monday, July 4, at the Abreeza Mall as part of their advocacy called “Bring the Roadshow to the Youth”, to share stories of unknown Filipino WWII heroes through historical films and documentaries to as many cities around the country as possible.
