DAVAO CITY — Despite recent talk about the possible disbandment of the Task Force Davao, some higher officials in the military still believe that the composite police-military unit is going to stay in the city.

The military’s East Mindanao Command chief, Rodolfo Obaniana, said Thursday that they have not received any order for the termination of Task Force Davao, which was created in 2003 after a series of bombings rocked Davao City.

Japanese Chamber of Commerce to Open in Mindanao

DAVAO CITY — The establishment of the much awaited Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Mindanao, Inc. (JCCM) will be formalized in an inauguration ceremony to be held 1:15 P.M. on Saturday, March 31, at the Davao Trade and Convention Center followed by a cocktail reception at the Zakoya Restaurant along F. Davao Chambers Ask GMA to Recall Wage Board Appointment

DAVAO CITY — The Federation of Davao Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FDCCI) has backed the call of the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (DCCCII) in its appeal to President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to recall the new appointee to the Regional Tripartite Wage Productivity Board (RTWPB).

Farm-to-Market Roads for Remote Davao Villages to Open Soon

DAVAO CITY — A 23-million-peso farm to market roads would soon be completed in the barangays of Tawantawan and Banarao, Talandang, Tugbok, Davao City.

The residents of Barangay Tawantawan, Baguio shall enjoy the 4.7 kilometer road concreting in two phases: Phase 1-Rehabilitation of Tawantawan Road to Barangay Proper and the Rehabilitation of Tawantawan road to Maligatong area.
