No mass exodus of nurses in SPMC, says hospital chief

The head of the Southern Philippine Medical Center Davao Region’s main center for COVID-19 care, denied earlier reports that the hospital is seeing an average of five nurses resigning every day amid the surge of COVID-19 cases.

The City Health Office revealed one business processing outsourcing (BPO) company had 403 employees tested positive for coronavirus after undergoing surveillance swabbing.

Davao City under MECQ on June 5 to 20

Davao City will be under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) starting June 5 to 30 as COVID-19 cases have risen to 1,655 since last week of May, which has “overwhelmed” hospital and treatment facilities.
