Dr. Lynn Redoble, executive director of the Community Based Health Services Incorporated (CBHS), said efficient sewerage and garbage collection system would greatly decrease cases of leptospirosis while better access to health care and sanitation could mean early detection of the disease.

Davao’s tribute to Bob Marley helps to fight cancer

Joan Soco, former Mutya ng Dabaw, encourages Davaoe?os to support the local music talents during "reggae night" on May 11. The date happens to be the death anniversary of Nesta Robert "Bob" Marley, the British-African reggae musician who brought "mainstream cultural acceptance of reggae music outside of Africa." Various local bands perform at the free concert to celebrate cancer prevention month. Duterte slams “God’s antiquated policy” on population

Davao city Mayor Rodrigo Duterte defended the revised Local Development Plan for Children (LDPC) against objections raised by the Catholic Church to the city's reproductive health and safe pregnancy program. "God's policy is antiquated and it cannot help the people who are reeling from poverty," Duterte said during his weekly television program ?Gikan sa Masa para sa Masa.?
