Manilakbayan protesters want NCIP closed; NCIP says it is nothing new

Lumads who marched from Mindanao and have converged here picketed at the national office of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples to demand its closure for alleged failure to solve Lumad killings in Mindanao.

The Davao Light and Power company has implemented two-hour rotating power interruptions after the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) imposed a Mindanao-wide deficit due to the emergency shutdown of two major power plants in Mindanao.
