Mother of slain minor forced to admit son as NPA

Mother of slain 15-year-old Jhun Mark Acto feared for her life after several unidentified men went to their house at Barangay Old Bulatukan in Makilala town, Cotabato.

Bill on labor safety approved by Congress bicam

A bicameral conference committee (bicam) by the Lower and Upper House approved on Monday a bill which seeks to strengthen compliance of employees with occupational safety and health standards (OSHS). It also seeks to amend the 41-year-old Labor Code of the Philippines which, at present, does not declare unlawful violations of OSHS.

Sandugo blames martial law for spike in rights violations in Mindanao

Five days before the first year anniversary of the declaration of martial law in Mindanao, Lumad and Moro groups trooped in front of Cam Aguinaldo in Manila to denounce martial rule in Mindanao, which they blamed for the "massive destruction of communities" in the island.
