Australian Professor Gill H. Boehringer is still being held at the Terminal 1 of Ninoy Aquino International Airport for almost a week now since Philippine authorities, particularly the Bureau of Immigration, denied him entry into the country on midnight of August 8, Wednesday.

DOJ’s proscription meant to harass government critics

The human rights group Karapatan lauded the Manila Regional Trial Court that dropped the names of former Bayan Muna Rep. Satur Ocampo, peace consultant Rafael Baylosis, UN Special Rapporteur Victoria Tauli-Corpuz and lawyer Jose Molintas in the proscription petition filed by the Department of Justice in February 2018.
