INAHAN ug ANAK BIKTIMA SA MILITARISASYON
Militarisasyon! Usa na usab ka kaso sa pagpatay. Niadtong Abril 2, 2007, sa may alas 10:00 kapin kun kulang sa kabuntagon, didto sa bukid sa Brgy. Caromata, San Miguel, Surigao del Sur, usa ka gi-alegahang kampo sa mga NPA ang gikatahong gi-raid sa mga kasundaluhan nga sakop sa 58th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army, mga sakop sa Special Civilian Active Auxilliary (SCAA) ug CAFGU ubos sa 4th Infantry Division. Kalit nga gipabuthan sa mga kasundaluhan ang walo ka mga babaye nga dunay kuyog nga tulo (3) ka bata nga ilang mga anak. Ug diha-diha dayon naigo-patay ang usa ka batang lalaki nga si DANDAN A. QUILLANO, 12 anyos ang pangidaron, lumulupyo sa Sitio Banahaw, Maitum, Tandag, Surigao del Sur. Tungod sa kalisang sa mga biktima nanagan kini aron luwason ang kaugalingon apan nasakpan ang usa ka babaye nga si BETTY A. QUILLANO, 37 anyos ang pangidaron, inahan sa batang lalaki. Gidala kini sa mga sundalo balik sa nahimutangan sa patay?ng lawas sa iyang anak.

Sulu Clashes Could Disrupt Philippines Elections

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Senate Minority Leader Aquilino
?Nene? Q. Pimentel, Jr. (PDP-Laban) today expressed
concern that renewed clashes between government
soldiers and Muslim rebels in Sulu could disrupt the
May 14 elections unless it is stopped immediately.

Pimentel urged the government and military authorities
to look into the cause of the latest outbreak of
fighting between Armed Forces of the Philippines and
the Moro National Liberation Front in Sulu,
particularly the group of a Habier Malik, to prevent
their recurrence.

Pimentel Urges Philippine Govt to Use All Means to Stop Sulu Clashes

Arroyo government and the Armed Forces of the
Philippines to persuade the Moro National Liberation
