Because the public did not believe the lies and deceptions of the military under Brig. Gen. Carlos Holganza, chief of 101st Infantry Brigade, that Grecil Buya was an NPA ?child-soldier?, he is now resorting to fabrication of lies and more lies by claiming that Grecil was killed by bullets coming from New People?s Army (NPA). He cited a so-called ?Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO)? report that the rebels who positioned at the lower ground started firing towards the soldiers and at the house were Grecil was staying while the rebels were retreating.

Karapatan Southern Mindanao, along with children's rights advocate, will be staging an indignation rally here today to demand justice for Grecil Buya Galacio, the girl killed allegedly by the military in New Bataan, Compostella Valley Province, last March 31.

Karapatan belies military’s claim that NPA bullet killed Grecil

DAVAO CITY –Karapatan Southern Mindanao Region belied today the claim of the 101 ST Infantry Brigade commander Brigadier General Carlos Holganza of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) that the bullet killed the 9 year-old Grecil Gelacio, in New Bataan, Compostella Valley Province on March 31 came from New People’s Army (NPA).
