DAVAO CITY — Soap opera actor Jericho Rosales, Davaoeno comedian Chokoleit and recording artists Yeng Constantino and Christian Bautista will perform in a concert on June 20, 7:30PM at the Cap Grand Auditorium in Anda Street.

The event is sponsored by Western Union Company, a global leader in money transfer services, for the benefit of the Save Our Souls Children’s Village in an effort to provide opportunities for the families of overseas Flipino workers (OFWs) to bond and enjoy each other’s company.

“I am very excited and happy to be part of this event. It is a pleasure and a privilege to perform with these great artists as well as to provide entertainment to OFW families. They’ve been working really hard and this is a great chance for them to relax and unwind with their families,” Rosales said.

Members of the 2009 Western Union Gold Card reward program can enjoy a 50 percent discount on concert tickets. Tickets sell for 1,500, 1,000, 500 and 300 pesos. They are available at the CAP Grand Auditorium, the SM City Davao, and the SOS Children’s Village. The concert also features Sipol band with musical direction by Marvin Querido

Aside from the concert, Western Union will also soon hold a nationwide talent-search entitled Gintong Galing as a way of recognizing and valuing the golden talents of the Filipinos. “Western Union has been part of Filipino families across the globe for decades, because of this we know and understand the needs of our customers, thus we think of ways on how we can provide opportunities for OFW families to bond and enjoy each others company. And we feel that this concert is an event that they can enjoy as a family,” said Patricia Riingen, senior vice president, Pacific & Indochina.
