MCPA and Kawagib call on the Organization of Islamic Conference to deny the Arroyo administration?s request for an observer status at the world Muslim body
COTABATO CITY ? A progressive Moro rights groups is set to lodge complaints against the Philippine government before the visiting members of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC).
?The Bangsamoro?s human-rights situation is marked with the GRP?s (Government of the Republic of the Philippines) blatant offenses (against) the GRP-MNLF peace agreement,? said Ren Jalaluddin Ropeta of the Moro-Christian Peoples? Alliance (MCPA).
The MCPA?s report to the OIC, he said, ?will highlight the Arroyo administration?s war policy in Mindanao, which has (wrought) terror and caused thousands of human-rights violations against the Moro people.?
