The Rotto Fresh International Traders, a Cavendish banana plantation company in Compostela, Compostela Valley allegedly detained Redubla on suspicion that he helped New People’s Army guerillas in burning the company’s backhoe last July 13.

Teachers, non-teaching staff poised to strike vs. Davao Catholic college

“Our notice has already expired and we will conduct the strike anytime if the NCMB fails to mediate,” Mendoza said.  He added they postponed the strike because they have entered into mediations with the NCMB, the latest of which was 2 PM on Wednesday.  Mendoza noted that so far, no conciliation agreement was inked.

Thousands of distressed OFWs await gov’t action in tent cities in Riyadh, Jeddah

Gary Martinez, International Chairperson of Migrante says their organization has helped 15 of these OFWs finally return to the country last Saturday, two of them are from Davao City.  “They can talk about how they were treated by embassy officials in Riyadh,” he says.
