DAVAO CITY – An alleged high-ranking officer of the New People’s Army in Southern Mindanao was arrested by joint force of the Army and the police on Thursday afternoon in Maco, Compostela Valley.
Lieutenant Colonel Norman Zuniega, assistant chief of staff for Civil-Military Operations of the Army here identified the NPA leader as Francisco Saramosing who sports the nom de guerre Zoilo Cadeliña and Isko.
Zuniega said Saramosing was arrested in Barangay Anibongan in Maco by the joint forces from the Army’s 10th Infantry Division and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 11.
Saramosing was arrested by virtue of three warrants of arrest issued on September 17, 2008 (WA 6457), October 13, 2014 (WA 6385), and March 23, 2015 (WA 6507) by the Regional Trial Court Branch 3 in Nabunturan, Compostela Valley.
Saramosing is facing charges of destructive arson, arson and murder. (davaotoday.com)
