New PNP chief in Tagum City takes oath

DAVAO CITY – The new police chief of Tagum City took his oath on Monday.

Police Supt. Lito E. Patay took the leadership of PNP Tagum effective July 20. Patay replaced Police Supt. Solomon de Castilla who is now assigned at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Davao del Norte headquarters.

Patay during his speech challenged the policemen to do their best in peacekeeping the city.

“We are hired, trained and paid to serve the majority,” he said during the turnover rites held at Tagum City Police Station Chapel.

Patay assured local residents that under his leadership the rights of every individual will be respected.

He also asked for the cooperation of the public for them to “effectively carry out their mandate in securing the public.” (davaotoday.com)
