Filipino-Chinese bizmen donate classrooms in Davao Oriental

DAVAO CITY – Filipino-Chinese businessmen turn over two classroom buildings in six different schools in Davao Oriental last July 29, Wednesday.

The Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCII)’s turnover of classrooms is part of its ‘Operation Barrio Schools’ project.

FFCCII Board Member and Chairman of Welfare and Community Enrique Chua said that his group “believes that education is the sure way to uplift the lives of Filipinos.”

Schools to receive the donated classrooms are Don Salvador Lopez High School, Matiao National High School, Rabat Rocamora Elementary School in Mati City, Lupon Comprehensive National Hight School in Lupon town, Mahayag Elementary School, and Panikian National High School in Banaybanay town.

FFCCII is known to be the largest organization of Fil-Chi businessmen which said to have already constructed 5,000 units of two-classroom school buildings all over the country.(davaotoday.com)
