DAVAO CITY, Philippines – This year’s celebration of 80th Araw ng Dabaw has the highest number of parade contingents compared to the previous celebrations, an official said.
During the weekly I-speak news conference, City Tourism Officer Generose Tecson said a total of 372 parade contingents attended this year’s celebration.
The contingents were a mix composition of city-based organizations, interest-based organizations, non-government organizations, government organizations, and the private business sectors.
On the previous activities held by the city such as the “Pasundayag” or concerts in Rizal and People’s Parks, Tecson said it was “heart-warming seeing people watching shows.”
Chinese, Japanese, and Indian students from various schools here showcased their different cultures in the said “Pasundayag” which was held on the three weekends, Saturday and Sunday nights, before March 16.
“There have been a lot of people in the People’s Park during the Musikahan,” Tecson said. (davaotoday.com)
