A town councilor has surrendered to authorities Sunday for allegedly masterminding the assassination last December of a medical director in Cagayan de Oro.
What was supposed to be a beach outing with family members and neighbors turned tragic when their vehicle crashed killing nine persons in a town in Misamis Oriental Wednesday, January 12.
The Misamis Oriental provincial legislative board has started its investigation Tuesday, January 11, into the operation of the Grand Imperial casino in Barangay Taboc, Opol town, as it questions if the gambling establishment have complied with the requirements of the local government units.
“We request that the Duterte administration fully respect the Churches’ efforts to serve the [‘anawim’] including its partner organizations, in both paper and practice, in order to continue the 500-year work here in the Philippines,” said the Ecumenical Forum for Peace and Human Rights.
On its Facebook page, the Council for Health and Development said it “condemns in the strongest possible terms the senseless killing” of Andutan.
