CIDG nabs alleged maker of counterfeit money, documents

A person suspected to be involved in the counterfeiting of Philippine peso bills and assorted documents was arrested by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in a raid here early Thursday (Jan. 23).

P882-M fake cigarettes seized in CDO warehouses

Cigarette products that are worth an estimated P882 million, and that were illegally made and without the necessary tax stamps were confiscated by a joint team of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Tuesday afternoon.
