The National Nutrition Council along with the Department of Health and the Local Government Units (LGUs) is set to launch the “First 1,000 days approach” in the region to provide proper health care to both mother and child.
The opening of classes on June 5 in both elementary and high school in Mindanao was marred with the usual lack of classrooms and teachers, an official of the education department said.
