After a mass poisoning of children involving repacked durian candies, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) here ordered the candy manufacturer to pull out its products from the market and surrender it as soon as possible.
The Cacao Industry Development Association of Mindanao (Cidami) said on Monday that there is an increasing demand of cacao this year in terms of its production and exportation.
The chairperson of the committee on health Councilor Joselle Villafuerte on Tuesday, said the city needs a more comprehensive food safety ordinance after the issues of fake rice, fake rice noodles, and poisonous durian candies hit the city.
