Pablo victims hopeful as mining firm agrees to pay for damages

MORANDANTE Davao Today Alan Montecalvo, Indug’s spokesperson said Apex’s dumping of soil into the river has aggravated flooding when typhoon Pablo brought rains last December.  The floods totally damaged 54 houses, partially damaged 30 houses and also damaged their livelihood including crops and farm animals.  It also destroyed the bridge and riverways and killed two residents.

Classes resume as Pagasa lifts Davao’s storm warning signal

CDRRMO: Water level in Davao’s major rivers not yet subsiding

By MARILOU AGUIRRE-TUBURAN Davao Today The CDRRMO and Central 911 are continuing their monitoring and have advised preemptive evacuation in some areas.  Earlier, the Lasang River was put on warning level while the Suawan River was noted with heavy water buildup.  The Upper and Lower Sangilangan and Waan rivers were reported to have overflowed causing residents to evacuate.

Davao suspends pre-school classes as Pagasa raises Storm Signal 1 with “Crising”
