Power interruptions up on April 6-7

The Davao Light and Power Co. announced on Tuesday, April 5 that it will implement two sets of 15-minute switching power interruptions on April 6 and 7 to facilitate the National Grid Corporations of the Philippines' Preventive Maintenance Shutdown (PMS) of its Davao Substation.

The Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights headed by Senator Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III will conduct a public hearing in Davao City to probe on the violent dispersal of the rally of farmers in Kidapawan City on Thursday, April 7.

NPAs take 5 prisoners, 7 pistols in highway checkpoints in Mindanao  

The New People’s Army put up checkpoints in seven areas in Mindanao on Sunday, April 3 and captured three police officers and two soldiers.
